Slovenian Canyoning Federation is running an intensive workshop where you can obtain certifications from 2 different organizations that are recognized worldwide.

The WRT-Pro and the IRF GT&E minimum number of participants is 4 people.

WRT – Pro: Whitewater Rescue Technician – Professional, Rescue 3 Europe

IRF GT&E: Guide Training & Education, International Rafting Federation

If you are interested in the Trip leader and/or Safety Kayaker certifications/awards (class III or IV), it is possible to obtain them during this course. Please let us know at sign up.

IRF certificates are valid only with an updated First Aid. All classroom lectures will take place at »Stergulc house« (SH) in Bovec.

• 18.00: Pre course meeting at Thirsty River Brewing, Bovec.

8.4. Monday, Day 1 of WRT-Pro

• 8.30 – 12.00: SH Theory

• 12.00 – 13.00: Lunch + shuttle to the venue

• 13.00 – 18.00: Practical

9.4. Tuesday, Day 2 of WRT-Pro

• 8.30 – 12.00: Practical

• 12.00 – 13.00: Lunch

• 13.00 – 16.00: Practical + shuttle to SH

• 16.00 – 18.00: SH Theory

*Upon request the assessments can also take place on Saturday, 13.4.

course plan.

Pricelist:

- Rescue 3 WRT-Pro + IRF = 550 €

- Rescue 3 WRT-Pro only = 350 €

- IRF Guide Training and Assessment only = 310 €

Fees and other details for the Trip leader and Safety Kayaker certifications would be given to those interested.

Course Fees: Candidates pay in full or 50% of the total charge 1 month (at the latest) before the start of the course. The remainder paid in full 1 week (at the latest) before the course.

Cancellation Policy: 100% reimbursement if cancelled 1 month before the start of the course. 50% reimbursement for cancellations less than 1 month before the start of the course until 1 week prior to the course. Cancellation period ends after 1 week prior. No reimbursements for cancellations after 1 week prior to course, no exceptions.

What to bring:

• Proof of valid first aid.

• Log book (proof of experience, minimum 60 hours commercial rafting in the last 2 years) – NOTE: If you are not up to the min. 60 hour upon course start date, you can complete hours after course and provide valid documentation via email to receive certification(s).

• Personal protective equipment (dry-suit/6 mm neoprene suit, helmet for whitewater use, PFD with a harness, water shoes with good rubber sole).

• Personal rescue equipment (4 carabiners, 3 pulleys, 2 prussic loops, 1 throw bag, 1 flip line, whistle for water use, river/canyoning knife).

We are happy to provide information about accommodation (campsites, hostels, apartments) in the valley.
